Fuel Ethanol

Ethanol is a  High-Octane fuel that has replaced lead as an octane enhancer in petrol. It is often used as an adjunct fuel to petrol in order to help reduce emissions in motor vehicles. It is used as solvent, in the synthesis of other organic chemicals and as an additive to automotive gasoline.

Fuel Ethanol – 99.99% purity dispatched with denatured characteristics

formally nomenclated in Brazil as E95 and In India E20.

Extra Neutral Alcohol

Uses for ENA are versatile- ENA can be used in some lacquers, paints and ink for the printing industry, as well as in pharmaceutical products such as antiseptics, drugs, syrups, medicated syrups and is also the primary raw material for making alcoholic beverages.

Advantages of Grain based ENA over Sugarcane based ENA –

  • Grain ENA is the finest quality
  • Grain based ENA is much smoother than Sugarcane molasses-based ENA because in Sugarcane molasses based ENA there is impurity of Sulphur which makes it less smooth & the aroma is also very strong. While Grain based ENA has neutral aroma.
  • As per IS specification analysis the impurity level in grain is lesser than Sugarcane Molasses based ENA.
  • Grain based ENA used for premium quality and transparent liquor as well as Hard liquor.
  • Grain based ENA needs less quantity of flavor and chemicals than molasses based ENA this can save bottling companies upto 10% in production cost and can increase margins by 20%, hence grain based ENA sells at a premium prices compared to

    molasses.

Dried Distillers Grain

Dried Distiller’s Grains and Solubles (DDGS) is another product PRO sells.

DDGS Process –

Distiller’s dried grains with soluble are the dried residue remaining after the starch fraction of corn. It is fermented with selected yeasts and enzymes to produce ethanol and carbon dioxide.

The alcohol is removed by distillation leaving whole stillage with solids which is further
centrifuged into wet cake. It is the wet cake, recirculated DDGS and syrup mixture from evaporation that undergoes a drying process to produce the final high protein animal feed: DDGS.

Advantages –

  • DDGS is concentrated protein, with about three times the protein content of the grain that was processed. The DDGS contains a significant amount of valuable yeast protein.
  • This high-protein feed is known to increase efficiency and to lower the risk of subacute
acidosis for animals. Hence DDGS is mainly used as animal feed in cattle, poultry, swine, and Fisheries/aquaculture industries. It is known to be a good source of protein, calcium, phosphorus, and sulphur, which are beneficial for the environment and animal health.
  • In addition to the use for animal feed, DDGS has also been used for other industrial applications, e.g., biodiesel, fibre source, and fertilizer.
  • DDGS contains high amount of Fibers, Residual starch and high nutrient value compared to Soya DOC also the DDGS is cost effective than the Soya DOC, Hence Soya can be replaced by DDGS. According to the report by USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS), “Findings demonstrate that, in aggregate (including major types of livestock/poultry), a metric ton of DDGS can replace, on average, 1.22 metric tons of feed consisting of corn and soybean meal in the United States.”
Content DDGS Soyabean DOC
Moisture 10% 12%
Protein 34% 46%
Crude Fiber 13% 6.50%

Impure Alcohol

Purity Level : 94.5 to 95.5 %
Uses: Perfumery Industry
MNTP, Other uses of TA
Fuels, Textiles, dyes , Inks & to produce Ethyl Acetate , Acetic Acid.

Pharma Grade Ethanol

Pharma grade ethanol is high purity alcohol with stringent specifications.  It is used in a variety of manufacturing processes in the pharmaceutical industry like sanitizers, topical disinfectants, solvents, and preservatives in pharmaceutical preparation and many other pharmaceutical applications. 96.0-96.6 % purity. Grades available from PRO are – EP grade (European Pharmacopoeia), BP grade (British Pharmacopoeia) and IP grade (India Pharmacopoeia)

CO2

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a colorless, odorless, non-flammable and slightly acidic liquefied gas. CO2 is heavier than air and soluble in water. The pressure of about 20 bar gauge and a temperature of about – 20°C. The final CO2 product is as a food grade liquefied gas of more than 99.99% purity, suitable for the beverage and brewery industries.
